The Knee Wall Hidden Granite Bracket is our most popular granite bracket. The Knee Wall Hidden Granite Bracket is used primarily for raised bar tops or islands where the granite extends more than 4” from the cabinet or wall. The great thing about this granite bracket is that once installed they will be virtually invisible. It gives your new granite the appearance of floating. Since these granite brackets mount flush to the top of a knee wall and to the bottom of your granite they will also not get in the way of your knees when you are seated at your bar like traditional wooden corbels do.
The Knee Wall Hidden Granite Bracket is simple and easy to install. Simply rout or chisel a 2 ½” wide by a ½” deep section at the top of your knee wall. This pocket will allow the granite bracket to sit flush with the top of the knee wall. Once the pocket is made in the top of the knee wall simply insert the granite bracket and attach it to the knee wall using the pre-drilled holes.
All of our granite brackets including the knee wall are made of ½” thick by 2 ½” wide rolled steel. Our Granite Brackets are then painted with an anti rust white or black paint. Although we have standard sizes that we sell we also can make any length that you would need.
The Hidden L-Bracket is a granite bracket for those individuals looking for a little more support for their counter tops. As you can see from the photos this granite bracket attaches in the same manner as our Knee Wall Bracket but adds an additional 6” vertical tang for additional support. This additional support comes in handy when you have an overhang on a bar top that is deeper than the standard 12” or that is very long and will be seating 4 or more people.
This granite bracket is also extremely helpful when installing a granite top on a kitchen island or standard cabinets when there is no knee wall. In these situations like this simple install a 2 x 4 to the inside back wall of the cabinet, route or chisel out the pocket so the granite bracket sits flush and then attach the bracket to the 2 x 4.
The Customized T-Bracket is the go to bracket that will really use the weight of the granite to support your big granite countertop overhang on an island made from back to back cabinets. This Bracket lays across the top of the cabinets when they are placed back to back in order to make an island with a granite top. The Angle drops down between the backs of the cabinets and is used to hold the T- Bracket in place. The T-Bracket needs to be the length of the to cabinets and also be long enough to support the granite overhang. It has a 4 inch angle that sits in the middle of the bracket acting as the Brackets brace or connection point. This bracket This bracket will support your overhangs with no problem. Its perfect for the cabinet applications when space is limited. The Customized T-Brackets have the angle in the center of the bracket except the “28 inch T-Bracket”. The 28 inch T-Bracket has the angle placed 13 inches from the back end and 15 inches from the front side of the bracket. All Customized T-Bracket have the 45 degree beveled edge on both the front and the back ends of the brackets. T-Brackets do not have mounting holes in the bracket it self.
